2010-2011 School Year Begins Now?

Re-enrollment forms will be in your hands next week.

Forms will be due, Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, to secure your child’s place in Santa Barbara’s finest. Questions—we’re here for you.

Montessori Band Wagon

March 11 (LIVE AND IN PERSON)

Questions related to last week’s homework.

1.Which book about ‘Montessori’ is most appealing to you?

2.Trevor Eissler (“Montessori Madness”) will be at SBMS March 11 for a presentation, Q & A, and discussion. Live. In person. Like Jay Leno.

Make arrangements for the sitter.

We’re bringing in ‘outsider’ to share his perspective and wisdom. His book will be available for sale at school at cost so you can prepare and then grill him!

“Montessori Madness—A Parent to Parent Argument for Montessori”

“Willi Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” – Cast Party !!!!!!

Erdkinder (SBMS junior high) Fundraiser

$30/ea child$50/two ‘sibs’

Friday, Jan. 22, 3:00 – 5:00pm

Alumni Hall

SBMS Primary and Elementary children are welcome to wear their costumes and relive the Willi Wonka experience, complete with singing and dancing; first scene through the grand finale re-enactments! Yes, a once in a lifetime experience is now ready for a redux!

Snacks will be served. As you may know, SBMS’s Erdkinder is headed to Italy in March, and this special Cast Party is their fundraiser helping to offset the ever-sinking US Dollar’s value vs. the almighty Euro! Now, without Kid Kafe earnings the Erdkinder students are seeking other sources of funding for their travel expenses.

Primary and Elementary Children staying for the Cast Party can bring their costumes to school (brown bag) and then change before joining and “performing” in the Cast Party. Children will be able to hang out with Willi, Charlie, and and the Oompa Loompas; ride in the WWExpress, take a tour of the chocolate river on the SS Strawberry Shortcake, and sing and dance. RSVP to Trudy (685-7600)

Journey & Discovery (RSVP – PDQ)

Friday, Jan. 29 6:00pm-9:00pm

It’s true.

Candlelight vigil followed by light buffet meal, and then return to classrooms. It’s a concentrate. Later you can mix with water.
